Moab Bureau of Land Management

As an agency the Moab BLM is responding to the June 20th 2014 Presidential Memorandum – Creating a Federal Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators that directs U.S. government agencies to take additional steps to protect and restore pollinators, including honey bees, native bees, birds, bats, and butterflies and to educate the public of the decline of Monarch populations and their habitats.  As local land steward for the public lands that surround Moab, the BLM has a vested interest in supporting a community based public educational project that highlights the importance of pollinators across our landscape and the threats that face these important wildlife species.
